Joseph Sepp Blatter (born Josef Blatter; 10 March 1936) is a Swiss former football administrator who served as the eighth president of FIFA from 1998 to 2015. He has been banned from participating in FIFA activities since 2015 as a result of the FIFA corruption case made public that year, and will remain banned until 2027.
From a background in business, public relations, and sports administration, Blatter became general secretary of FIFA in 1981 and was then elected president at the 51st FIFA Congress on 8 June 1998, succeeding João Havelange, who had headed the organization since 1974.[1][2] Blatter was re-elected in 2002, 2007, 2011, and 2015. Like his predecessor Havelange, Blatter built his power base in FIFA by increasing the influence of numerous African and Asian countries in world football through the expansion of participating teams in various FIFA tournaments, culminating in the highly controversial awarding of the 2022 World Cup to Qatar, a Gulf oil state of 3,000,000 people with little footballing culture. David leads EA’s Experiences organization, which includes Commercial, Marketing, Communications, Fan Growth, Business Planning and new business Ventures. Prior to becoming Chief Experiences Officer, David served as Chief Marketing Officer, a position he assumed in 2020. In that role, he led all aspects of EA’s global marketing organization, including brand management, communications, social impact, creative and design, production, community engagement, marketing analytics, consumer insights, athlete relations and media.
Under David’s leadership, EA’s marketing teams have received industry recognition including more than 100 awards with 17 Cannes Lions since 2016. Recent honors include a Cannes Lion Grand Prix (Brand Experience) for EA SPORTS FIFA 23 x Ted Lasso and a Cannes Lion Grand Prix (Titanium) for FIFA 21 x Kiyan Prince.
David has been recognized numerous times by the industry for his marketing leadership. In 2023, he was named to Campaign’s CMO 50 and Insider’s list of Most Innovative CMOs. In 2022, David was named to the Forbes Entrepreneurial CMO List, celebrating 50 chief marketers transforming marketing, commerce and culture. A leader in the global marketing industry, he has spoken at prominent industry events including Forbes CMO Summit, Reuters Strategic Marketing, Brand Innovato Dr Motsepe, who becomes the seventh (7th) person to occupy the position of CAF President, begins his four-year term after being elected unopposed by the Member Associations of CAF, in Rabat. Mauricio Macri ([mawˈɾisjoˈmakɾi]; born 8 February 1959) is an Argentine businessman and politician who served as President of Argentina from 2015 to 2019. He has been the leader of the Republican Proposal (PRO) party since its founding in 2005. He previously served as Chief of Government of Buenos Aires from 2007 to 2015, and was a member of the Chamber of Deputies representing Buenos Aires from 2005 to 2007. Ideologically, he identifies himself as a liberal conservative on the Argentine centre-right.
Born in Tandil, Macri trained as a civil engineer at the Pontifical Catholic University of Argentina and attended Columbia University for business school. After embarking on a business career, he was kidnapped in 1991. The experience prompted him to enter politics, after being released by his captors. He served as president of football club Boca Juniors from 1994 to 2007, reestablishing its profitability which raised his public profile. In 2003 he launched the Commitment for Change, eventually developing it into the modern PRO party. Following an unsuccessful bid for Chief of Government of Buenos Aires in 2003, Macri was elected in 2007 and won re-election in 2011. Four years later he was elected president of Argentina in the 2015 general election – the first presidential runoffballotage in Argentine history.
The presidency of Macri focused on reforming the national economy and improving diplomatic relations.
