We continue our series of interviews with the candidates from Romania’s Semi-Finals and today we had the pleasure of having a chat with the young and passionate singer: Elena Hasna.
Hello Elena! Thank you so much for taking the time for this interview. First of all congratulations for making it to the Semi-Finals of Selectia Nationala 2018! Can you tell us more about yourself? Who is Elena Hasna?

My name is Elena Hasna, I am 16 years old and I can say that I am at the beginning of my music career. I became well known in 2012 when I participated in a popular talent show, Next Star and since then, I have been singing in different shows in my country and abroad. Also, that moment was one of my most important moments, because my singing career started to develop.
Now, I am competing in the National Selection for Eurovision Song Contest and I really hope to succeed.

Three songs that inspire me, but certainly not my all-time favourites are: “I Was Here”- Beyonce, “Born This Way”- Lady Gaga and let’s say “Elastic Heart”- Sia
Can you tell us the story behind “Revival”?
“Revival” is a very powerful ballad with a very strong, empowering and emotional message. I knew that this song would be the right one when the composers suggested to me a collaboration for Eurovision and when they sent me the songs. As soon as I heard “Revival” I imagined myself on the stage singing it. Also, I think that almost everyone can identify themselves in this song. “Revival” is a very inspiring ballad.
