What influenced your decision to become an actress?

I have had a passion for acting since I was young. When I was younger, some actors and actresses came around the estate where I lived and my school. So, when I was in school, I joined the drama club and began acting.

I also had an aunt who worked at the National Film and Video Censors Board, Mrs Bola Athar, with whom I shared my desire to be an actress. Though she knew many actors and marketers, I told her that I would prefer to be under the tutelage of Yomi Fash as I began my acting career. She then promised to inform one of the marketers. I was then asked to come to an actor’s office around the Obalende area, I think. When I got there, I was introduced to Uncle Kola (Kolawole Olatunde) of Latunde Films. I then began acting and later got admission to study Economics at the Lagos State University, Ojo.

The journey to success is not a smooth one and with all the twists and turns on the road, one is still a part of those who God showcased for everyone to see.

How did you feel the first time you performed on a movie set?

I felt so happy. It was like I was given some money. At the time, I only featured in a scene and acted as a rich man’s daughter in the movie. I was so happy because I got to meet popular actors such as Madam Saje, Deji Adenuga and Jide Kosoko, among other actors on the set and they were impressed by my acting skills.

What movie brought you to the limelight?

That should be my movie production in 2009, ‘Kikelomo Omo Oluso’, directed by Don Richard and co-produced by Kolawole Olatunde. The movie gained a lot of acceptance then and till now, some people still request that I do a return of the movie. I thank God for everything.

You’ve been away from movie production for some time, are you planning a comeback?

Yes, it has been six years since I last produced a movie but I recently produced a new movie that would be out in Novembe
