History of MYDIN
Humble beginning in 1940 by a hawker name of
Mydin Mohamed.
Involved in selling merchandise and toys to
customers in Georgetown.
Its a small family business run by his father, Gulam Husein bin Jamal, an Indian Muslim
immigrant settling in Penang.
After it was bombed & burnt during the war, Mr Mydin moved to Kelantan to set up his
very first shop in the same year the country achieved its independence, 1957.
