Indian actress and author
Digangana Suryavanshi (born 15 October 1997) is an Indian actress, singer and author who is known for her appearances in Hindi and Telugu films. Suryavanshi debuted her career in Hindi television and went on to appear in films. Her breakthrough role was 'Veera' in the StarPlus TV series Ek Veer Ki Ardaas...Veera. She also was in the reality show Bigg Boss 9 in 2015. Her Hindi film debut was in FryDay (2018), Telugu film debut in Hippi (2019) and Tamil film debut in Dhanusu Raasi Neyargale (2019).
Early life
Suryavanshi is the only child of Neeraj Suryavanshi and Sarita Suryavanshi. She completed her 12th board at Mithibai College, where she appeared for the exams during the shooting of Ek Veer Ki Ardaas...Veera. Digangana is pursuing an MBA at Narsee Monjee College in Mumbai.
Career
Suryavanshi started her career at the age of seven as a child artist, debuting with the TV series Kya Hadsaa Kya Haqeeqat in 2002. When she was 14, Suryavanshi wrote, composed and sang a song, "I'm missing you", which she dedicated to her maternal grandmother. Suryavanshi also played supporting roles in shows like Shakuntala (2009), Krisshna Arjun and Ruk Jaana Nahin (2011–12). Suryavanshi landed her big break with StarPlus soap opera Ek Veer Ki Ardaas...Veera (2012–15), where she played the title role. In 2015, at the age of 17, she was the youngest celebrity contestant to have participated in the reality show Bigg Boss. She was evicted from the show on 7 December 2015. Suryavanshi participated in the Indian sports reality television show Box Cricket League season I, played for Mumbai Warriors and season II, played for Mumbai Tigers.

Balika Vadhu (transl. The Child Bride) is an Indian soap opera that aired on Colors TV between 21 July 2008 to 31 July 2016 with 2,245 episodes. The story is set in rural Rajasthan and revolves around the life of a child bride from childhood to womanhood.
Background
The show consists of two parts. The first part, Balika Vadhu – Kacchi Umar Ke Pakke Rishte (transl. The Child Bride – Strong Relationships of Tender Age) ran for 2,164 episodes, and focused on Anandi and Jagdish, who were married during childhood. The second part, Balika Vadhu – Lamhe Pyaar Ke (transl. The Child Bride – Moments of Love) which ran for 84 episodes, reflects the life of Anandi's daughter, Dr. Nandini, also known as Nimboli, another child bride.
Plot
Balika Vadhu follows the lives of Anandi and Jagdish, who were married as children, and the challenges they and their families face over several decades.
Part 1: Kacchi Umar Ke Pakke Rishte
An 8-year-old girl, Anandi is married to Jagdish "Jagya" Singh. Her schoolteacher fails in trying to stop the marriage. Jagya's widowed sister, Sugna, whose Indian television series Ek Veer Ki Ardaas... Veera (transl.A Brother's Prayer... Veera) is an Indian television soap opera that aired on StarPlus and streams on Hotstar, produced under Yash Patnik's Beyond Dream Production. The series premiered on 29 October 2012 and ended on 8 August 2015. It initially starred child actors Harshita Ojha and Bhavesh Balchandani and after a 15-year leap, the series starred Digangana Suryavanshi, Shivin Narang, Vishal Vashishtha, and Farnaz Shetty. Rannvijay Singh, an eight-year-old boy, lives with his parents, Ratan and Sampooran Singh, who is the Sarpanch of the village. One day a lady named Amrita comes to the door and claims her daughter's father is Sampooran. Ratan insults her but Sampooran arrives and agrees with Amrita. Seeing this, Ratan is heartbroken and locks herself in a room. Guiltridden, Sampooran leaves the house and Amrita dies at the door due to terminal illness with the child in her arms.
