William James "Bill" O'Reilly, Jr. (born September 10, , in Westbury, New York) is an American broadcast journalist and author. He came to national prominence hosting Inside Edition from to He hosted the American cable television news analysis program The O'Reilly Factor on the Fox News Channel from to He was terminated by Fox in early after a New York Times article disclosed several multi-million dollar settlements alleging sexual misconduct. O'Reilly subsequently founded the No-Spin Zone media franchise. He has written or co-written over 20 non-fiction books on politics and history, along with several novels.

O'Reilly's broadcasting career began during the late s and s, when he reported for local television stations in the United States and later for CBS News and ABC News, the former of which earned O'Reilly two Emmy Awards and two National Headliner Awards for excellence in reporting.
